Thanks for a huge cool site......... here is some pics of my build as it is right now....99% finished!

started with an 80 xs.. removed 1.5 inch from backbone left everything else stock.....
designed the tank with cardboard and traded a roller xs to Evil Empire Studio to make the tank for me. he went over the top. paint is acid wash/rust with a PPG clearcoat and his own pins....
working on taillight as we speak. ~great read here abt the tailight~.... Riding in Oregon it was pointed out to me that turn signals and such are a must have so dont harsh me too much for the stock yamaha lights. HAHAHAHA

i think its amazing. are those the stock rear turns just standing straight up? cos that is pretty clever rather than having to fab up whole new ones or something. gas tank is wild, very creative.

Thank you....... yes other than the tank every thing is stock Yamaha...... best part of this build is at the current staus I have ZERO funds invested....... Z E R O! cant get any cooler than that

I got a total of 3 xs bikes.... free after some trades and time but bottom line is ZERO investement. all done with bartering

Nice. Anything you can do with no out of pocket expense kicks ass. The tank is different but cool. I really like the paint, if you will.
