the botom race is a press fit on the stem.you will need to take a chisel and hammer and place the chisel on the bottom of the bottom race so that you will be striking up towards the top of the stem so that you can knock it up and off.you will have to be careful not to bugger up the lower tree.
if that don't work i take a die grinder with a cutoff wheel and start cutting the race diagonally so that i don't hit the stem or tree and cut the race until it turns blue in the bottom of the cut because you are almost through, stop.now take your chisel and put it in the cut and hit it with the hammer until it breaks then it will come off easy because the tension is gone.hth,

that seat looks like couch cushion, def change it. maybe all black diamond tuck about 3/4s the length (stoping right over your axle) and maybe narrow up the rear end of it (seat)

you should go after the seat rail drop kit from bratstyle.com
or at least check out their SR's if you haven't.... you'll get some crazy inspiration for yours.

All right people!!!!

this saturday had a lot of work !!!! and because it was raining ..we did it inside the house
so i went to a friend of mine George...he is an expert and he guided me through!!!

Once i got the the things from Kickstarter.com i opened them and Installed them:D

so... first we took off the old one and put the new one...did some cutting..
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/loonatiks/DSC00626.jpg

i will make a sketch cause we did something realy good here...because the ring that they gave me was not that good and the exhaust gas was liking...

this is me making a spacer for the exhaust holder at the footrest
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/loonatiks/DSC00627.jpg

no the best pic but..its ok
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/loonatiks/DSC00625.jpg

the secont task was to change the steering bearings.....
that was a bit tricky i can say...cause ok i chiseled it took the bearings of...the upper "bace" in the neck but the bottom one was impossible to take off....so i keeped the old one...the old grace was like glue...and i cant understand how i was driving that thing :P now its like feather

http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/loonatiks/DSC00631.jpg

http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/loonatiks/DSC00629.jpg

and the third task was to paint the front fork and the steering plates :D

painting is my speciality ...10 years Graffiti made me "expert" :P

now the thing with the exhaust is that when i close the throttle the exhaust goes like BAAMMM!!!

you think thats cause there is too much gasoline in the carb and that makes the BAAAMM thing?

billybiltit
02-08-2010, 9:07 PM
if it is to rich(jets too big) it can be backfiring.do you have a baseline for setting your carb.?or are you winging it?do you know what size main and primary jet you have ?

leon

Loonatik
02-09-2010, 2:13 AM
hmmmm actually i dont cause i messed it up the last time so i went to a friend and he set it up i have to ask him

but the carb is a Keihin PWK 34

Today i took it for a ride and i found out that if im driving in low rpm it doesnt backfire

but the thing is im 90% present sure the mixture is rich because ...if i open the throttle fast its choking....
so i think i have to use smaller jet

any other reason?

billybiltit
02-09-2010, 8:28 AM
sounds like maybe the main jet(topend) may be to big.
you may try dropping it a couple sizes and seeing if it gets better.you do need to do a plug chop with a new plug and check the plug to see exactly where the jetting needs to go,tho.

plug chop? you mean to put a new spark plug and see if it gets black or not wi the new jet?

Last night i did some cutting...it was the first time i got an angle disk..maby not professional result but its hand made by me so im satisfied

the things (and thats were i need your help people) if you look at the fender it has some bends..i cant hammer them cause they are over the "bridge" so i cant do anything under it.

you think i should take it apart and hummer it and then find a way to attach it again?

or simple put some stucco(hope this is the word )

any help is welcome

I dont think Id try to give it a hummer (lol), but a hammer and a dolly might work...
Thats a tough spot.. maybe drill out those rivets, hammer out the dent, and re-attach with button
head bolts on each side to retain the factory look..?
I think you mean bondo, Id try to avoid using body filler as much as possible..

hello !! last night i made some progress..i took some inspiration from bikes through the net and relocate the key :)
i had a second key switch so i didnt have to take mine off :)

first i took apart the switch and made a mock up on a paper :)
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/loonatiks/DSC00727.jpg

then draw it on a piece of metal 3mm
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/loonatiks/DSC00728.jpg

and im gonna place it under the tank(there is a small holder under the tank so that it will not shake)
http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj124/loonatiks/DSC00725.jpg

and you can put it even on the right side or the left :)
