View Full Version : Amber or Yellow headlight?

I have look all over for a 5 3/4 amber or yellow head bulb for my bike and had no luck. I'd appreciate if anyone knows where i could score one. thanks for looking TommyD

you could always just tint the lense. i think ive seen spray tint in different colors at autozone. do what my friend did and just candy the lens. mine needs to be done, but black.

also, if you run a generic bulb, check the tuner websites/stores for yellow headlight bulb. what type you running, like what number.

or, after re reafing, do you have a sealed beam and need the whole thing? i was thinking unsealed...

h4 not sealed but I don't want a bulb I want the lense to be tinted . I worte bulb because I thought it would be sealed if it was a tinted

you can find spray tint, its just a bitch now theres all those headlight restoration products and you cant search for it. also, vht yellow tint spray, or even stained glass paint in yellow from Michaells

Check the Tail Light King. He has a couple fog light lens listed. He would know what would fit.

The best way ( and cheapest) way Ive found to do it is to buy yellow Metalcast spraypaint. Napa definitely has them and some autozones and the like. All you do is take the lense out, spray one generous layer on the lense then hit it with a hairdryer or heat gun for about a minute. The paint will start to dry crystal clear and wabam, yellow headlight. I've used this technique on my personal bike, a couple buddies bikes, and my old VW's.

i like the vinal just because its a shitload easier to put on/take off. trim rings can hold down the edges too, and if johhny law says jack you can just simply go home and peel it off.
