You can chop a 16 inch little girls pink bicycle if ya want....... I say chop whatcha got.
Put up some pics so we can see what you are starting with here. I'm not so familiar with all the different bikes that have been made.

If I lived in an area where there was some running into town kinda riding I'd chop one of those small bikes just for that. Hell, I might do it anyways even where I live. Fun is fun.

I'm going to try to go this weekend to pull it out of my old garage.. hell if anything it will give me something to do during the winter months..

If you chop this thing it will look ridiculous, if anyhting tracker it or cafe race this out to look like a little dunstall or something of that nature - send it to me and Ill do it but just dont chop it, it will look like one of those stupid god damned kickstart bobbers or whatever those things are I see at swap meets.
Sorry - Just sayin...

I dont know yet.. I may just fix it up.. I hate to cut it up too bad.. it was my dad's first bike and he got it brand new when he was in highschool..

I may just get it back to factory.. but first I need to see if I can get her running.. she hasn't been turned over in like 30 years..

Either take it back to bone stock or cafe the shit out of it, it'll have way more character. I love that color, too.

Nice.. I'll keep that in mind.. I went and got her last night.. it was to dark to take pictures but I'll take some today when I go home for lunch.. she's in a little worse shape then I remember.

The engine on the red one looks a lot like that CB100 engine.

These little bikes make great trackers imo.

RE: brewsir: I think the red one is probably a 100, but I think the blue one is a CL350.

i pit for an out law kart. the track here is open for people to run what ever. since its so small i was thinking it would be cool to built a 100cc flat tracker. just an idea

get it running, toss some clubman bars and a cafe seat, remove the fenders, and ride the shit out of it.

Yep. 100/350.

The Red Bike came out of my garage, it was a '72 SL 100.

Not bad for a handful of late nights and a few hundred dollars.

A good cleaning goes a long way, however:
The slides on the stock carbs are known to eventually stick.

I ran the stocker for a little while after getting the bike running , but it only lasted a couple hundred miles before the slide started sticking pretty bad. After too much taking apart, cleaning, sanding, and putting back together, I replaced it with a slightly larger carb.

New 30mm carb ($45-) came from here. (http://www.pccmotor.com/30mm-carburetor-honda-crf-xr-100-30100200.html)

The only problem I ran into with the new carb is that it's longer than the stock unit, to the point that it makes contact on the stamped section of the frame and doesn't allow a filter to mount up. I'm just running a pantyhose filter for the time being, which just barely squeezes and zip ties in there.

If I were you, I might try to source a ~24mm in the hopes that it's short enough to run a filter, if you're into that sort of thing. Old small displacement Hondas are pretty tolerant of different diameter carbs.

Good luck, these little bikes can be a shit ton of fun.
