Started as 2004 husky te570 , raked the front stripped most the bike. Got a 76 husky steel tank. Going to install stretched rigid and Springer seat . Powder coat the hubs and rims black and paint the tank creme. And some dual sport tires.

Yeh I agree. I'd try to keep that rear shock and make this thing something uncharted.

Either way fuck yeh. This is winding up to be a monster and I'll be following every step. GL!

what they said. That thing looks insane with that monoshock. I dig it.

I would like to keep the rear shock and swinger, but the chain is all ready rubbing the bottom of the swing arm now. Unless I can put a chain roller on the bottom of the swing arm . I don't know if that would work though.any advise

A solo seat hung off the mount for the mono shock would be way rad--if the tire didn't come up and kick your ass.

Anybody have any ideas about putting another small sprocket or a roller right after the swingarm pivot on the bottom to keep the chain from rubbing the swinger . I was thinking mabey a recessed sprocket at the bottom of the front of tbe swingarm. Mabey lower the shock mount about 3 inches and run a shorter shock , then the seat can sit low just above the shock. Any advice i would appreciate, i want to finish this bike and not make a infinished lawn decoration.

Seat wise, loooks like your gonna have th get creative, Ive seen a leaf Spring used before. I think your on the right track with a chain tensioner on the swing arm. Bike looks like it would rob me in a dark alley. good work.

I wonder if that couldn't be addressed with a piece of round stock and a skateboard wheel.

The spring tensioner would have to be spring mounted, since the chain would loosen with suspension travel

Lowbrow has the bolt on spring loaded chain tensioner sprocket. You gotta keep that mono shock!

That is what I was going to suggest too. Use one of Lowbrow's chain tensioners and you should be set.
