When it comes time for new grips, don't glue or silicon them on.

This is a very easy trick. Use cheap ass hair spray. They will stay on tight, never a problem, but if you ever need them off, they can come off.

The guy that told me this said it was an old BMX trick.

ya hairspray works ok. when i was younger I used to do freestyle shit on my bike and you can twist them loose without too much trouble. I use that 3m spray adhesive you can get at auto stores or wal- mart. You can still get the grips off but they wont twist like hair spray will.

A little WD-40 if they are BMX grips and need the lube. Then safety wire. This way you can reuse them again and besides, safety wire pliers are fun to use.

Been using hairspray for years (like you said, BMX trick). What I've found is, the cheaper, more generic the hairspray the better! The few times I used mom's/ girls expensive shit it wouldn't hold at all.

ive tried everything and what i found that works the best is nothing.. i use the air gun off my compressor. just hold your hand over the open side to seal it off and then shoot air in the little hole in the end of the grip and is shoots right on. then just slice them off with a razor when its time for new ones.
