Looking to buy a 68 100c just wanting to know the motor sPecs. Will it handle 60 mph easy? And anything to look out for inparticular? Or is it more of a city bike?

Triumph 500 motors are some of the best engines the factory ever made and a C model is even sweeter. Don't believe me? Read Road Racing History of the Triumph 500 Unit Twin (http://www.amazon.com/Road-Racing-History-Triumph-500/dp/0956497500).

Yes it will go 60mph +

Buy and enjoy.

60 shouldn't be a problem, should be a fun , quick, light bike. Twin parts are also fairly easy to come by,*unlike Triple parts =(

they will easily top 100 if you pin 'em.
The type C had an 18 tooth drive sprocket stock, put a 19, 20 or 21 on for freeway speed but it will take away a little of the standing start quickness.
