at this point the bike is more off a tear off cut and alter project. since i dont have any welding equiptment or any knowledge of welding. titled and running when i got it for 300. ok price, but kind of depressing when i see the stories on here about getting a similar bike for a kitten or a 6 pack of pbr. using a recip saw and 4" inch grinder right now. cut the stock exhaust off right where the weld is for the muffler. cut off the rear pegs and of course a bit of the rear tubing. picked up some steel bushings to replace the rubber ones on the trees. cant stand those bike when the bars move around on ya. the z bars are just on there temporarily as a mock up until i find a pair of 7/8" bars i like or i bend my own. swapped out stock shocks for 10" honda rebels. still alooooooot to be done. i want it to be a no frills beater that could outrun a cop through a feild if need be................. not that i would ever need to run from one of the fine boys in blue..........

planning on getting a tig welder from harbor frieght in a couple of weeks...... the aldis of hardware stores. ha ha, and i will be teaching myself to do it on some scrap metal and tubing and shit....... anyone got a welding helmet they could sell cheap?

sorry about shitty phone pics... new camera phone on the list also

dude, titled and running for 3 bones is a great price! you may want to rethink the steel bushings in the trees tho and get some new rubbers, the vibes are gonna be harsh.

while i love harbor freight, i must add that my brother in law (who welds for a living) borrowed a harbor freight tig to do a touch up job on one of my projects while visiting me away from his shop. i think his exact words were, "i'd rather stick my wiener in a meat grinder than use one of those welders again." good luck on the chop, and maybe you can borrow a welder from someone?

i was talking to my uncle at christmas dinner and he said right around the same thing about the harbor frieght welders..... it all comes down to "you get what you pay for" he said he had really bad luck with a snap on tig. he says i can borrow his miller until i find something worth the cash. and as far as the bushings... i just hate the feeling of those bikes with rubber. it never feels tight enough... but i can see where your coming from. i'm going to see if i can barn job somethin to get the best of both worlds.

dude get some better pics for us, what I've seen so far looks wicked.

Save up and spend the good bucks on a tig though.

going to pick up some steel at the home depot this weekend to pound out the seat pan. i will bolt it on as a mock up and take some oics so you guys can see my first attemp at making a seat pan with recip saw, anvil and assortment of hammers.... might give the old bernzomatic a try but i dont think its hot enough. got a tank comin and some window drag bars off a trump. gonna keep the stock battery box... just gonna modify it a little. and i might give a skid plate a try.... who knows. ha ha. bare with me guys please... this is my first time ever doin this shit. probably get a laugh out of some of this shit but if anybody has any helpful hints or "DONT DO THAT"s just let me know. all ears.
