Well fellas, I do a lot more reading than writing around here. The site has developed quite nicely. Much more organized now. I haven't been over here for about a month.

Thought I would pop up a few pics of the latest build. Got almost everything fabbed and will be going to paint soon. Here is a sneak peek. Whatcha all think?

Started here. Got it home, wired it with a quick "chopper wiring" and made it run.

Then went to work on doing some choppin'. I am after a little bit of a different look for this one. Kinda like a chopped cafe racer.

Awesome, that is great. I like how you let the pictures speak and it was a very natural progression with a couple "What the fuck???" moments and then "OHHHHHHH!!!!" Cool.. Some great fab ideas. I never thought of sprockets but they are nice and sturdy and I have a few laying around.

Thanks for the write up!

Yeh the rake looks mean, is the front end stock length?

Also, have you shifted the rear wheel back?

The fork tubes are from a 1980 dohc cb750 which is 2 inches longer than the 69-78 sohc tubes. If you look through the pics you will see I stretched the swing arm, 8 inches to be exact.

Thanks for the comps fellas. More to come. I've got a ton of pics but just chose a few to tell the story so to speak. Gonna go to paint soon.

Your fab ideas are great, and your skills look to be really tight! the whole "stretched, raked, cafe racer" thing isn't really my cup of tea, but i gotta respect skill. i like the old school idea of notching the backbone, they been doin that for like a gazillion years, right? Inline Honda fours rule, i got a '72 500, and '74 550, any idea if those stock frontends will interchange?

Thanks fellas, I'm a Chef. So your comments about my work are truly appreciated as I do not do this for a living.

I'm unsure about the other Honda stuff. I'm kinda a cb750 guy and thats where my tiny bit of knowledge lies. Although I'm building a CBX rigid chopper and learning about the inline six as well.

Yeah, I hear ya about the cafe/bobber/chopper thing. Its actually not my preference either. I've just had this image bouncing around in my mind for a while now and figured it was finally time to build it!! I just keep building.

Kinda like therapy for me. I go out to the storage space and get in another world for a few hours at a time. Gives me a chance to forget about how pissed off I am about whats going on in this country right now! When they are done someone can buy them so I'll have the money and space to move another project to the front.......

BUILDING IS FRICKEN COOL! I really like this site. I'm gonna learn alot here for sure.

Cheers and Merry Christmas to yall.

Bike is looking awesome! The stance is bad ass and the work with the sprockets is cool. Unique as hell.

Thats some awesome fab work and great use of "leftover" stuff from around the shop.
