i got the new frame last week. i'd like to put a kz750 wheel on the back. i like skinny, but the rd rear wheel is toooooo skinny. i noticed that it will make the rear sprocket stick out farther than the rd rear sprocket. do i have to run a jackshaft to compensate for the difference, or can i just make a spacer for the front sprocket. would that make it to unstable on the tranny? this is my first build, so i'm new to this. any ideas?

no, i got one of craigslist for 20 bucks. i'm gonna hardtail it. it's kind of a funny frame, so i didn't want to mangle up the good frame if it doesn't work out. i have zero welding skills, and i'll be designing the hardtail with some pretty basic tools. i'm thinking this will cost me about 50 bucks to hardtail it...as long as my brother in law welds it for me. i'll get some pics on as soon as i get going.

hmmmmmm. just a suggestion but have you thought about maybe putting smaller shocks and maybe moving the top shock mounts. designing a hard tail is a pretty big deal, being a 1/4" of in one place and your screwed. check out TC bros. they sell a do it yourself hard tail kit. just throwin it out there. i do think it would be WAY cool to see a chopped up 2 stroke

Here is what you would ultimately want to end up with.
