I'm in Canberra Australia for the week and haven't found too much bike related stuff anywhere. It's mostly designer clothing shops and coffee joints and Google isn't any help -

I'm basically looking for some cool project bikes, shops, garages, events, or bars in the area. Don't want to get stuck watching rugby for the weekend. Thanks for the help

Ha I agree with ya. Seeing Rugby live in AUS would be awesome. Unfortunately I meant it's the only thing on TV right now so just not the same.

If you're not stuck there for work, then get yourself to Sydney asap!

I've been to Canberra a few times and can honestly say that there is fuck all to do there socially.

Either hire a car or jump on a train. Sydney's only a three hour drive away.

The best thing to visit in Canberra is the Australian War Memorial... amazing museum.

Or you could spend some time in Fyshwick!

You won't have any trouble finding a strip club or knock shop or two there.

Guy's message appeared whilst writing my second reply, so no disrespect to the men and women that have served our country.

I would have to agree that the War Memorial is one of the most interesting places to visit in Canberra.

Cheers

Thanks for the pointers, Steve. Unfortunately, here for work so I'm stuck in the Canberra area. I'm just making the best of it for now, but may have to check out the place in the link you sent!! Damn!!

@Guy, I did see the museum in passing. I'm working with Australian military here so it may be a good idea to learn a bit of their history as well. Thanks, dude
