Is there a way to remove old frame rails from frame casting on a preunit frame?

you need to un-sweat the brazing and then push the pin out, it's do-able but a lot of work.

Thanks Tony. I'm thinking about doing this but not sure I want to do that much work. I mean fuck I've pretty much built this bike twice and still haven't riden it. I know WTF right.

Cut the tube out and then start grinding with a die grinder. Work around the casting evenly. As you get right down to the brass the steel will start turning blue. Work one area until you break through to the brass. If you have the tube thin enough you should be able to grip one edge with needle nose pliers and twist the remainder out.

The neck and seat post is easy the motor and side stand mounts are a pian . I had best of luck by cutting out the tube then heating the casting ans using a punch to dent the tube away . They are pinned into place with nails from the right side ,If i recall .
