View Full Version : Fuel Injected Mods for Modern Bonnevilles?

So what's the scoop? How hard is it to remap, put on some good pipes, tune, etc? I had a carbed model in 2006 and it really woke up with air box gutting, jets and Bubs on there. What's the hot set up for the EFI models? Are there many choices? Thanks!

I'm no expert as I don't have a Bonneville yet, but from everything I've read it's pretty easy to tune up the EFI bikes. British Customs sells a kit with slip-on mufflers, the air box removal kit, AI block-off kit, and a new map. Once everything is bolted on you can use Tune ECU (freeware ftw) to flash the new map. Here is a link to the kit I'm looking at once I take delivery of my bike.

There are other maps available on the Tune ECU site as well depending on the set-up of the bike.

I don't own a Triumph...YET. BUT... I have been all over trying to see what is possible when I do finally get one. I am no expert but there is a shit ton of information out there.

The maps are dependent on the exhaust and other mods like the ARK and written specifically for the mods you have done. I like the ability to do it myself and one of the reasons I want a Bonnie. I have watched videos like this and it gives me the confidence that i can do it too...

There are a lot of knowledgeable guys on the Rat but if I were unable to figure something out I would get ahold of Forchetto on there... http://www.triumphrat.net/members/44601-forchetto.html

That guy is a total nerd for that kind of stuff...in a good way. He would be the first one I would get to walk me through it.

All of it SEEMS easy enough. If there are cats doing it then others can too.

All far as Exhaust the BC Predators seem to be very popular. The BC sleepers or NH togas also. I think the real proformance minded go for the Arrow 2-1's and those style exhausts.

None of this is probably any help to you...maybe I'm just excited to see more modern Triumph stuff on the CC.
