i bought this triumph chopper a little while ago, i had a thread asking if it was a good idea to buy it.
anyway, i got it for a decent price. but you get what you pay for. this thing is a little haggard. i'm finishing up another build right now, so this one wont really get started for a few weeks.

here it is when i picked it up:

i swapped out the harley front end, for a pretty clean girder. which i am probably going to shorten... i can't decide just yet. so i'll wait on it

and sold the 23" wheel, and picked up a 21" spool

i cleaned up the harley forks on my lathe, they're now for sale in the classifieds

after (still got some greasy fingerprints on there):

now i need to find a pair of dogbone risers, since the girder doesnt have a modern riser mount. so i'll probably do ~4" dogbones, then some bars like Max Schaaf's. and doing a similarly styled tall sissybar. maybe a wassell tank?

Nice! I think the front end would look good if you shortened it btw. Looks like an awesome start man.

i have to agree it looks pretty nice, but think it would look alot better with about 2" maybe cut out of the front, it'd drop the front of the bike down a bit.

Bike looks real clean, really like the way it looks. I agree just a bit shorter and it would be perfect. Really like the way it looks though.

i think this girder is +4 for a harley, maybe +6
i'm considering taking out about 6+ or so

i think the way this bike sits, altho i know thats a different frame entirely.
the way i see it, i can always shorten it later, but lengthening isn't all the easy either... so i'll wait on it

I like how high it sets. low bikes look cool but I hate when I make sharp curve and scrap the pegs and pipes. just my 2 cents. looks bad ass though!

I figured i'd post my ride for a bit of inspiration, certainly think you should cut it down.

Great to see others game enough to pogo down the road

I am DIGGIN' on those last couple pics. Especially the look with the paint, light, and girder.

not a lot of progress to report, i've been working on other projects.
put a small unity light on there and some drag bars... i like the feel of it, but i might put some taller bars like biltwell chumps or something

and built the front axle today

http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh266/GRHebard/photo-28.jpg

and then i'll be getting a proper rear tire and fender setup soon. im thinking about doing a pitchfork style sissybar, yes/no?

***edit: i just realized how similar this bike is starting to look to the one posted above it! haha not nearly as clean as that one tho :)
