Internal throttle, bias ply tires, repaint everything, lowered, new seat, skinny tank, new bars, internal throttle, basically everything haha.

I'm going for a super skinny lane splitter.

Looks really good. How much stretch is it?

kevinphan

2inch stretch, you can't see in the pictures but it's chain driven now.

Bike is looking great! I can just see a peak of the chain in the last pic.

Did you cut the tabs off the side of the frame that are used to mount the stock tank to get that sporty tank on there?

What did you do to lower it from pic 1 to pic 2? The rear shocks look the same, but it looks a lot lower.

We cut off the existing tabs, and the top most motor mount bolt and it slipped on pretty darn good. I'll snap off a photo later on.

I removed load off of the spring by removing this pipe preload inside the forks itself.

Still need to make an exhaust, rewire the bike and paint it. Runs like poop currently.

yes, i see the chain. Let me know how is your bike working with chain. I'm thinkigo about hardtailing mine, but i want to keep the belt.

One more time- your bike looks great.

Belt is stock. The teeth count for the front sprocket is 17 and the rear is 43, somewhat close to the stock ratio. May mess around with different sprockets when I get a chance to ride more.

I like the chain so far, I need a couple of more links because its super tight at the moment. I went to a chain drive because the stock belt pulley was massive and would make the rear end not symmetrical looking.

Thanks for the feedback! Started rewiring and now it doesn't crank no more, woops!

Where did you source the gears? Or were the custom made... I have a friend wanting to build his LS, and i haven't looked to closely at it yet....

Simple conversion using GS550 parts, heres the list I bought from Bike Bandit,

Suzuki Rear 43 Teeth Sprocket JTR816.43T
17 Tooth Front Sprocket JTF513.17T
Kawasaki/Suzuki/Yamaha Front 13 Teeth Sprocket JTF513.13

The 13 teeth one is used as a spacer.

those bmx levers have enough leverage? or is it super hard to pull in?

Clutch is fairly easy, it's a tiny bit harder to pull in but no major change. I need to get a longer adjuster piece.

Got a discount on them from the local shop, didn't work in the end but oh well.

Pretty much finished, just need to make a new carb setup and weld up the oil tank.

Took some pictures:

Awesome ride, I love the frame. I'd have to run a rear fender and am I overlooking a taillight? Hope the new carb setup has something slimmer for the intake but as the rest of the like make its look a little chunky from the rear.

New intake is a tiny bit slimmer, tried to tuck it into the frame more. Running a vertical side mount now with a cheapo trailer light.

I used the oil tank to house electronics, Lowbrow DIY tank. Engine has an oil pan.
