this was my first step into bikes in general, i picked up an sr250 cheap and rebuilt the engine to learn how before taking on a 650 I have to build

its sketchy, but inside for the rest of the winter to clean up + add short shocks +build some things for it

any issues mounting that tank and seat?

seat is just something i made at home with two mounting bolts instead of using spots for springs... there is a cross bar under the seat that already had two mounting holes in it, so i just lined it up to bolt them on

the tank isnt so much a direct bolt on... i was given the king sporty tank, has to remove about 2 inches off the front mounting tab, and with the shape of the frame, there was a gap about 1 inch from the frame on the rear mount... i had a bunch of stuff laying around and ended up fitting an adapter that would mount to the rear tank tab, and bolt directly into the existing tank mount on the frame

those were just two things I needed on the bike to use it this year, over the winter ill be making proper tank mounts

Save the time and get an older sporty tank. The ones from the 80's and older aren't as long. What about the stock seat hinge and lock? I take it you had to grind them off? Finally what length are those struts?
