View Full Version : Home Made Fork Tube Puller

First I found an old top nut that fit my tubes and cut off the threads:

Then I spun up a slug to press fit and weld in it. The slug has 1/2"-13 tapped threads in it:

Machined flats on the slug for a 13/16 socket so I would have a way to spin it in and out:

Tig welded the 2 pieces together:

Drilled a 1/2" hole in the old top nut and faced it off flat:

Put it all together and it looks like this:
