yeah, i know my bikes in the way, but why the fuck not, right?

out scouting today for a place to hold an event in the works for you guys, i cruised down a road between 2 strip clubs and found a freakin battleship. i talked to a local welder across, and apparently the shipyard that did the repairs is owed a ton of money, so theyre "hiding" it here.

anywho, heres the shots. cell phone, with some after effects for shits.

im going to talk to some people tomorrow about the land right in front of it, to hold a few of us 33's out there for a night of fun, within walking distance of 2 strip clubs...should be interesting.

and theres no trespass signs up about half way to the ship (or id have gotten closer...) so im thinking that maybe we can have half the length of all that area (which is fucking huge...)

ok, so i found some more info.

USS Laffey (DD-724), an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer, was the 2nd ship of the United States Navy to be named for Bartlett Laffey. Seaman Laffey was awarded the Medal of Honor for his stand against Confederate forces on 5 March 1864. The ship earned the nickname "The Ship That Would Not Die" for her exploits during the D-Day invasion and the battle of Okinawa when it successfully withstood a determined assault by both conventional and kamikaze air attacks. It is a U.S. National Historic Landmark and is preserved as a museum ship in Charleston, South Carolina.

Now that makes sense! She deserves respect and admiration for her serving her duty so well and surviving the shit-storm the enemy threw at her! That would be an awesome place to to be for sure!:killerjob:
