Slim Fabrications is working on a production model direct bolt on Springer front end for the popular XS 650. Just had to spill the beans on this one. Great idea. I'll post up some pix around the 10th.

Yeah, Slim brought it up when we were sitting around just talking about random stuff when he was over here last night. It should be cool to see the finished product.

Just talked to him about them tonight. Should get some pix of the prototype in a day or two. He already has a bunch of stuff made up. No! They don't look like DNA springer's!

Cool. I thought it's not that hard to run a springer on an xS with a change of bearings anyway?

Very excited. Need and Aussie distributor??

Where do I sign up? I have been looking for one all summer. Now that the snow is flying the 650 is getting torn apart.

doesn't look like these are coming anytime soon. In case you guys didnt know, the DNA springers pretty much bolt up with a bearing and race swap and cutting the locking nut in half. VIOLA!

well looks like another flash pan dreamscape. Bummer I was hoping to see what it looked like. But if its this long for pics that never happen, Id hate to think of the wait for the front end. yikes

indubitably.

i just went ahead & bought a vintage springer on the bay. looks like i'll prolly just shorten it a bit & be happy!

OK im looking to put a springer on my xs650, the stock forks measures 22 inches from the bottom of the neck to center of the axle. The front wheel thats on now is only a 19 and I want to use a 21 inch front wheel so what will I need so the bike sits the same way it does now? will it need to be 2 or 4 under dna front end?

travasesino

that depends on your tire height - but generally you'd be looking to find the stock HD lenght & do the math from there.
