View Full Version : saying goodbye to an old friend...

10-27-2009, 3:11 PM

the time has finally come, to say goodbye to a friend I held near and dear to my heart for the past couple years.

the wiring, and fluids were the last few items left to tackle, but it was hard to find the motivation to get back into the garage. I suppose I purposely dragged my feet, knowing full well that I would have to come to terms with baby bird leaving the nest to make it on its own.

Dux, a recent member her(also his bike) did an amazing job on the seat, as well as the battery strap. Without a doubt, he'll be handed a few more seat pans of mine, and probably many others too. A natural talent he has for sure...

This bike, runs super smooth, sounds amazing and I think turned out pretty nice.

Thanks to those who posted comments, positive and negative...thanks to the biltwell guys for posting up the bike on their blog, and a big thanks to the chopcult for inspiring to think a little bit outside the box.

I kinda dig the dirt bike inspired front fender. Very tight looking machine!

thanks for the thumbs up gents.

the front fender, was only put there for the sake of an out of province inspection, but I ended up kind of liking it there.

thinking the next project will entertain the idea of a big twin flathead...

Nice completed project. When you said out of province inspection did it register as a custom? How much hassle? I have another bike, old shovel, in BC that I'd like to bring in. R
