View Full Version : Land speed racing on BSA's

10-08-2009, 6:00 PM
Getting ready for the last ECTA land speed racing event of the season.... Final adjustments have been made on the M/PG-650/4 BSA Hornet, we are at a best of 51.68 wheel hp right now. The MP/PBF-650/4 (turbocharged, nitrous injected, partially streamlined) BSA Royal star is dialed and we think we have fixed our belt drive primary problems so we can continue to push our world's fastest twin cylinder BSA record up a bit more.

This is today's dyno tune session.

Only got one run in today between the rain. Ran an official 149.5 mph. We are crazy over geared for the mile, running 3.6 final drive right now! Put the largest nitrous jets we have into her and hoping to push the gear a little better tomorrow. Unfortunately a 200+ mph motorcycle crashed toward the end of the day and the poor guy that was riding it was actually was found unresponsive and not breathing by the EMT guys, they were able to resuscitate him and they hi tailed him to the hospital, he unfortunately did not make it and passed on the way.

Here is the onboard video from the run, pictures comin later.
