I picked up this 01 Indian Scout w/30k on the clock w/a motor about to go south. the price was right. I'm rebuilding the motor to put in my 92 softail. that had a S&S 111 in it. The 111 w/ 115 hp & 122 lbs tq. was way to much motor for my softail so I pulled it after 308 miles and put my stage 3 80"evo back in. I'm a firm believer in a usable weight per hp ratio. The 111 was too much and the stage 3 w/aprox 70hp & 80 lbs tq. not quite enough.. I'm thinking this 88" should do the job when I'm done with it. I'm shooting for 90 hp & 100 lbs tq. a reliable and usable power per weight ratio. All in a blue collar budget.
