Speedfiend made a post in this thread: 1969 BSA 441 victor kick return problem and slipping clutchYour return spring is broken. Disconnect the clutch cable and remove the cover. Remove broken spring. Replace spring. Use a small piece of chain over the tang end of spring and a screw driver to pry it around into place. Bolt cover back on.
